They really taste like a candy bar - a good one - rather than a low-carb energy bar. The chocolate is very dark, more like a Dove bar than a Hershey's. The bar is crispy, and rather filling too. If I eat one in the morning, it's usually around 3pm before I'm even thinking about lunch.
